The Lethed Sweater – now available as a standalone pattern

One of the highlights in my knitting design adventure so far was finally having one pattern submission make it to a real publication! This spring, the Lethed Sweater was featured in the Making Stories magazine, and seeing it in print, in a gorgeous layout and with real, professional pictures (and not my diy, cringe pictures of myself in bad lighting…).

But the story doesn’t end there – and I’m thrilled to let you know that the rights have now reverted to me. Which means: the Lethed Sweater knitting pattern is officially available as a standalone PDF in my webshop and on Ravelry.

About the design

The Lethed Sweater is a top-down raglan with a relaxed, slightly oversized fit. What I like especially about the design is that it is a subtle play with simple stitches – knits and purls – and delicate design details that make it simple enough for a garment for everyday wear, yet interesting to knit and with a little “something”. The garter stitch is worked along the top of the shoulder and along the sleeve all the way to the wrists, where a fold closes over the garter stitch element. The lower body is kept in simple st st, with a twisted rib binding.

Worked seamlessly from the top down, the pattern comes in a wide size range and gives you the freedom to adjust length and ease to your style.

Where to find the pattern

What yarns to use

You will need either a sport weight yarn, or can opt for the yarn combination I used where 2 threads are worked together to get a gauge of 21 sts x 33 rows on 3.5 mm / US 4 needles.

Why you’ll love knitting it

  • Top-down, seamless construction (easy to try on as you go)
  • Relaxed, modern silhouette with timeless appeal
  • Simple stitches but stylish and fun effects, without any complicated techniques
  • Perfect for everyday wear – cozy, light, and versatile

I can’t wait to see your versions of the Lethed Sweater! If you share on Instagram, make sure to tag me @lillelarsenlux and use the hashtag #LethedSweater so I can admire your knits.

Happy knitting 💙
