If there’s one thing December calls for, it’s a bit of shimmer — and this year, I fully embraced the sparkle. I’m so excited to share this glamorous version of the Everyday Tee, made with a festive blend of softness and glitter that feels perfect for the holiday season.
This project began as a spontaneous idea (as many good ones do): What if I turned a simple tee into a subtly sparkly, elegant holiday top?
Turns out — it works beautifully.
or this version, I held ITO Asa together with Lang Yarns Paillettes on 3.25 mm needles.

I followed the Everyday Tee pattern as written, with a few adaptations to suit the yarn:
These details support the delicate yarns and give a lovely festive finish.
Cast on the indicated number of stitches using double ITO Asa.
Switch to 1 strand ITO Asa + 1 strand Lang Paillettes held together.
Skip the original bindings from the Everyday Tee pattern.
Go directly into the short rows to shape the front neckline.
Follow the pattern as usual until you separate body and sleeves.
Knit until you reach your desired length.
Cut the Paillettes yarn and work an i-cord bind-off with double ITO Asa:
K3, slip 3 sts back onto the left needle.
*K2, k2togtbl, slip 3 sts back onto the right needle*.
Repeat from * to * until all stitches are worked, cut yarn and pull through remaining stitches.
Work 8 rounds (or longer if preferred).
Finish with the same i-cord edge.
Pick up stitches around the neckline using double ITO Asa.
Work an i-cord bind-off.
Weave in ends and neatly join the i-cord.
