Phew. Another year has somehow passed and it’s the moment to sit down, breathe, and look back to what we’ve actually achieved, or rather, let’s say, celebrate the moments of joy again.
And personnally, this is a very valuable moment for me, since I usually feel quite unsatisfied and underwhelmed by my achievements, on one hand because I expect much more from myself, but also, on the other hand, because I’ve forgotten most of my small successes and never took the time to celebrate them properly.
So, even if I will be the only person reading this blog post, it will be worth it! Because as I started jotting down the garments I’d designed and knit, I realised : wow…. that makes for quite some hours of knitting!
What exactly have I been up to over the last year? Well, I realized that I actually published 6 (!) patterns (I have the feeling there were about 3….) :

The Teddy sweater : a super easy, top-down, comfy sweater made with Gepard Garn’s gorgeous Teddy Dear yarn. Since it’s worked on needle size 6 mm / US 10, it is really one of the fastest projects I’ve ever designed and knit!
the Dancing Dices Triangle Shawl : Just one of these asymmetrical shawls I love and can’t get enough of. It’s worked in BC Garn’s Semilla, which is just about one of the comfiest yarns for shawls and among my favourites

Coral Cove Scarf : this project came to life because I was trying to use my scraps, and had this gorgous coral coloured yarn (hence the name Coral Cove ;)). I then made a second one to try out a new yarn that Woolinspires had added to her shop, Myak Fiber’s Fior di Lino, and it has become a part of my daily wardrobe. The brioche pattern does take some getting used to, but I love the stitch pattern! The pattern is getting its final polishing done, but will be very soon available in my shop!
the Lethed Sweater : now this was my small success story this year, with a pattern being published in a real life magazine, the Making Stories magazine. It was a great experience, only followed by a slight downside since the magazine shut down this same year. Still, a great experience…

the Everyday Tank Top : this was one of these patterns I had mostly written already a year earlier, but somehow not come around to finish and test. I love that I now have about anything you need as basic tops in my knitting pattern collection, and that it works with so many different yarns, such as simple cotton yarns, or the silk mix Soft Silk from BC Garn. Just works every single time.
the Lilac Top : for this one I tested Gepard Garn’s new HørSilke yarn, a linen-silk blend. My tip? Use needles with a less sharp points, because otherwise you tend to split into the yarn. Once you’ve got that one going, it’s nice to work. This top is as usual a top down, but with a super simple lace pattern. Also, a perfect top for your basic wardrobe.

So basically, that’s two sweaters, two tops and two shawls. Not too bad, I guess? And what’s in store for next year? Well, I do have quite a few designs that need to be finished, some being in a drafting stage, some only sketches, and other vague ideas or inspirations… stay tuned for more to come very soon!
Is there any specific design that you’d love to see? Share your thoughts and let me know!
